Full membership of MIPAA Limited is open to persons who have been engaged in communication activities with or on behalf of any company within the international motor industry for a period of 12 consecutive months prior to application.

Associate membership is offered to:

  • those with under 12 months’ motor industry experience or studying a PR qualification at at UK university
  • former members who are retired or no longer working in PR or the motor industry
  • those sponsored by an existing member under the complimentary offer for remainder of 2011 (as above)

All applications are subject to the approval of MIPAA Limited’s Executive Committee and are dependent on proof of eligibility to the satisfaction of the directors in their absolute discretion.

On approval of any application by the Executive Committee, membership is dependent upon receipt payment of the non-refundable annual subscription (and joining fee if applicable). Membership (which runs from January each year) is not transferable.

Note:  Full members are eligible to vote on resolutions and stand for elections as a director, whereas associate members are not.  MIPAA Limited does not have a share capital, but is limited by guarantee. Members of the company undertake to contribute up to £1 upon a winding up of the company. This is the extent of the liability of the members. MIPAA Limited cannot distribute profits to its members

2012 MIPAA Limited membership subscription levels:

Full membership: £85.00 plus £30 new member joining fee (waived for existing CIPR and PRCA members)
Corporate subscription rate – available for organisations with 4 or more qualifying members:
£320 (covers 4 full members) + £65 per additional member (plus £30 joining fee per new member, if applicable)

Associate membership (no joining fee):
[1] Those with less than 12 months qualifying experience: £45
[2] Former members no longer working in PR or the motor industry: £70
[3] Retired former members: £35
[4] MIPAA student – free for two years to University undergraduates undertaking a PR placement in the industry
[5] Complimentary member – free for remainder of 2011 if sponsored by existing member (as above)
