MOTOR INDUSTRY PUBLIC AFFAIRS ASSOCIATION


The Motor Industry Public Affairs Association (MIPAA) Limited is a dynamic membership organisation helping communicators within the motor industry work more effectively by providing training, workshops, events and opportunities for networking. 

MIPAA Limited was incorporated as a non-profit company, limited by guarantee, on 4 November 2005.  It builds on the foundations of an organisation created in 1968 by 13 original members. Membership comprises 400 individuals representing major brands, vehicle manufacturers, suppliers, consultancies and other institutions connected with the industry, in the UK and overseas.

Membership is open to anyone working in a communications role in the international motor industry (see Joining MIPAA). 

Members and select media contacts can login to access an online directory - please contact the general secretary for username and password.

JobSearch is a unique "match making" service between job seekers and those with career opportunities.  This is open to members and non-members.

MIPAA offers a Business Academy professional development programme, Leadership Forum and social events.

Notice of 2010 MIPAA Ltd AGM

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with the Articles of Association of the Motor Industry Public Affairs Association Limited, of the annual general meeting on Wednesday 31 March 2010. The meeting will take place at Prodrive, Banbury, Oxfordshire, OX16 3ER.  All members (full and associate) are invited to attend from 15.30pm with AGM business commencing at 16.00pm.

All members should advise the General Secretary of their intention to attend (or apologies) by completing the online booking form, by email: , telephone/fax (01722 711295) or post to the registered company address.

One of the first UK social media experts in the PR sector, Neville will look at the ongoing impact of micro-blogging/Twitter, the latest technological and social media developments – and what lies ahead for PR online.

Tim Johnson – Director & Managing Director of world-renowned crisis consultancy, Regester Larkin International
Tim advises some of the world’s leading public and private organisations on long-term issues management and short-term reputational risk responses. He will discuss the impact of online influencers on crisis management.

Thomas Power Chairman of Ecademy
Founder of a number of e-commerce and social networking businesses (and one of Alan Sugar’s original apprentices in the 1980s). In 1988 he left Amstrad to set up DMS Europe, and is an internationally acclaimed speaker and author.

Bob Barker – Vice President, Corporate Marketing, Alterian
An expert in social media, Bob runs corporate and digital marketing at Alterian, a fast growing UK company creating world leading software for online analytics, campaign management, web content management, email and social media monitoring.

Thomas and Bob will talk jointly about the relationship between on-line and off-line communications, focusing on how discussion and comment on-line spreads across the world.

Halcyon reunion lunch
