MIPAA Business Academy workshops

The MIPAA Business Academy Winter 2010 programme includes four Essential PR Business Academy workshops alongside a series of digital PR and social media courses over the next six months.

MIPAA Business Academy workshops include insight from experts, case studies and practical exercises. Cost to attend a workshop is £50 per person and social media courses over the next six months.

ESSENTIAL PR SKILLS – sign up for one of our monthly workshops or attend all four as part of MIPAA’s innovative Professional Development Programme.

  • Professional Motor Industry PR – provides an in-depth understanding of the motor industry; PR planning, implementation and evaluation; budgeting and management reporting; and key aspects of professionalism from personal presentation to relationship building.
  • Media Relations – focuses on working with, and writing for, motoring media (including “pitching”); organising media events; and targeting non-motoring media (including online and broadcast).
  • Marketing & PR – covers marketing objectives and functions; working with marketing specialists; consumer PR; and managing consumer relations issues.
  • PR Management – looks at the key areas of corporate responsibility; management competencies; negotiating skills; and corporate writing.

MASTERING DIGITAL PR - builds on MIPAA’s five years of experience in championing online communications with a series of Business Academy workshops including:

  • Business benefits of social media – hosted by Marshalls Group in Cambridge. Investigates the relevance of social media and digital PR for small-medium enterprises, targeting online business audiences, building social media communities, connecting with e-influencers and linking digital and traditional media relations.
  • New Influencers – for the third year, MIPAA spotlights what’s happening in digital PR and online communications to offer insight into trends, new technologies, best practice and engaging the hardest to reach online publics.
  • Just Do It – no need to be bamboozled by the latest gadgets and widgets with focused hands-on training to maximise the potential of existing and new tools and techniques in social media and online PR.
